Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a contract assignment providing coverage in Inpatient and Acute Rehabilitation settings. The OT will evaluate, re-evaluate, and treat adult patients in both outpatient and inpatient environments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.

Candidates must hold an active Hawaii license by the start of the assignment. Travelers without a current Hawaii license must apply upon offer acceptance and obtain licensure prior to the start date.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations for assigned patients (inpatient and outpatient)
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans as prescribed by the ordering physician
• Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs
• Independently manage a full patient caseload
• Perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization requirements
• Document all patient care accurately in the EMR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide coverage in Rehab and Acute Rehab settings
• Work Hawaii State and Federal holidays as required based on hospital operations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adult patients in Acute and Outpatient settings
• Active Hawaii Occupational Therapist license (required by start of assignment)
• Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
• Strong clinical evaluation and treatment planning skills
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

Schedule

• Day Shift: Monday – Friday
• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Holiday coverage required
