Position Overview

We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) with primary Acute Inpatient experience for a contract assignment. This role provides primary coverage in Acute Rehab with secondary coverage in ICF/SNF Rehab settings.

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement individualized therapeutic programs as prescribed by the attending physician or consulting specialist, and provide consulting physical therapy services as needed.

Candidates must hold an active Hawaii Physical Therapist license by the start of the assignment. Travelers without a current Hawaii license must apply upon offer acceptance and secure licensure prior to the assignment start date.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations of assigned patients/residents
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Provide ongoing therapeutic interventions in Acute Inpatient settings
• Offer consulting physical therapy services as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the EMR system
• Provide coverage in Acute Rehab and secondary ICF/SNF Rehab settings
• Work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hospital operations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience working with adult patients in at least one of the following settings:
  • Acute Care
  • Rehabilitation Hospital
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
• Active Hawaii Physical Therapist license (required by start of assignment)
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical evaluation and treatment planning skills
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned caseload

Schedule

Variable schedule, which may include:

• Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday–Saturday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Holiday coverage required.
