Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Yes, rare; only to units appropriate to skill or as a "set of hands"
• Patient Population: All ages across the spectrum

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse License (RN) valid in Virginia
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Skills:

  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient
  • Able to perform all ER tasks including phlebotomy, IV insertion, EKG, splinting, wound care, and patient transport
• Preferred Experience: 2+ years patient-centered care with focus on positive patient and family experience while meeting operational metrics
• Personality Fit: Team-oriented
