**MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING THE ECMO MACHINE**
Position / Specialty: CRT - ECMO Specialist
Shift: 3x12 Nights (1830-0700)
Years of experience REQ: Min. 2 years RRT and 1 year ECMO Specialist req.
First-timers accepted: Yes- min 1 year ECMO specialist experience.
Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend
Certs REQ: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT, and State License required.
Is on-call REQ? Yes- On-call required as needed for the department.
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed.
Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
Locals accepted: No- must live >100 miles from facility to apply.
Pending License accepted: Yes but must be active at start.
RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts at any time for any assigned Aya Candidate without any penalty or obligation to pay Aya for such cancelled time. On-call hours do not count towards the guaranteed minimum hours.
Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: Adult Critical Care. Required Airway Management Devices/Suctioning Skills/Experience: Endotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning. Required Care of Patient With: ARDS, Aspiration, Bronchoscopy, COVID, ECMO, Fresh tracheostomy, Pneumonia. Required Medication Administration Skills/Experience: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, Xopenex. Required Medication Delivery System Skills/Experience: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach. Required Nebulizer Skills/Experience: Cold, Hand held, Heated, Ultrasonic, T-piece, Trach collar. Required Oxygen therapy Skills/Experience: Bag and mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Portable Oxygen tank, Protocol Driven ECMO, T-Piece, Trach collar. Arterial puncture experience required. Required Ventilator Management Skills/Experience: BiPAP, CPAP, Patient Transport (inter-departmental and ambulance transport), SIMV (Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: ABG interpretation, Chest Physiotherapy: Vest, Chest Physiotherapy, Drawing arterial blood gases.
