PCU RN

Location: Birmingham, AL 35211

Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: PCU – Cardiac
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekends: Every other weekend
Call: None
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Projected Start Date: April 6, 2026

Certification & Experience Requirements

Required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS
Minimum Experience: 2+ years
Float Expectations: Occasional float to similar units
Required License: Active AL RN license or Compact RN license

Beds: 41
Patient Ratios: 4–5 patients per nurse
Equipment: Alaris pumps, Omnicell
EMR: EPIC

Patient Population

Cardiac telemetry
Post‑CABG
Post‑cardiac catheterization
Chest pain
Congestive heart failure (CHF)

Required Skills

Telemetry competency
Experience managing cardiac drips

Preferred Skills

Additional cardiac experience or advanced rhythm interpretation (if applicable)
