Travel Sterile Processing Tech (SPD) – Nights

📍 San Luis Obispo, CA

📅 Start Date: 03/30/2026
📆 End Date: 06/27/2026 (13 Weeks)
🕒 Shift: Nights – 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
⏰ Schedule: 5x8s (set days determined after start)

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPD) for a busy OR department. Candidate must be comfortable working independently overnight and have strong trauma and robotic instrumentation experience.

Requirements

✔ HSPA (IAHCSMM) Certification or CBSPD Certification
✔ 1–2 years recent sterile processing experience
✔ Trauma instrumentation experience required
✔ Robotic instrumentation experience required
✔ General surgical instrumentation experience required

Responsibilities

Decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments
Process robotic and trauma instrument sets
Ensure proper sterilization standards are met
Maintain accurate documentation and tracking
Respond to OR needs during overnight shifts
Participate in weekend call rotation
