Shift: 5x8-Hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Telehealth Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (NP/ARNP) to evaluate and manage patients with chronic and acute pain through virtual visits. This role involves clinical assessment, medication management, patient education, and care coordination using secure telehealth platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual musculoskeletal and neurological assessments via video and phone
• Obtain comprehensive pain histories and assess functional limitations
• Review and interpret diagnostic studies (MRI, CT, EMG)
• Prescribe and manage pain medications, including controlled substances where permitted
• Monitor compliance through PDMP review and coordination of remote urine drug screenings
• Develop and oversee opioid tapering plans when appropriate
• Educate patients on non-pharmacologic pain management and lifestyle modifications
• Coordinate referrals to therapy, interventional pain, behavioral health, or surgical providers
   

Required Qualification :

• 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience
• 2 years of Pain management experience (chronic and/or acute)
• CA State Nurse Practitioner License
   

Skills Required:

• Ability to conduct virtual musculoskeletal and neurological assessments
• Experience prescribing and managing controlled substances where permitted
• Familiarity with PDMP monitoring and remote urine drug screening coordination
• Telehealth experience using video platforms and EHR systems
• Knowledge of state and federal telehealth prescribing regulations
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and communication skills
