Position Title: Mammography Technologist
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 04/06/2026
Shift: Day Shift, Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Position Summary:

The Mammography Technologist performs a wide range of technical duties associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. This role requires the use of specialized X‑ray imaging equipment to produce high‑quality breast images used for clinical interpretation by radiologists. The technologist plays a vital role in early detection of breast cancer, supporting improved patient outcomes, treatment options, and survival rates.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and assist with interpretation processes as needed.
• Ensure patient comfort, care, safety, and privacy throughout the imaging procedure.
• Maintain and operate mammography equipment, ensuring proper functioning and image quality.
• Comply with federal, state, and institutional standards regarding imaging procedures and patient documentation.
• Support daily department operations, including room preparation, equipment upkeep, and workflow management.

Breakdown of Duties:

• 90% → Patient Mammography Imaging
• 5% → Mammography Department Support
• 5% → Other duties as assigned

Patient Volume & Workflow:

• Estimated 18 patients per day
• May float occasionally to nearby locations based on staffing needs (low likelihood)

Minimum Requirements:

• ARRT certification in Mammography
• OBMI (candidate may apply upon offer)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• BLS
• Experience in a fast paced clinic environment
