JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN-Labor & Delivery
Location - 111 Hospital Drive, Utica, NY 13502

JOB DETAILS:
Full Time - 13 weeks contract
Day Shift - 7 am to 7:30 pm // 36 hours weekly
Work Location - On Location
Ability to commute/relocate: Utica, NY 13502: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum patients
Assess and monitor maternal and fetal well-being using EFM and interpret fetal heart tracings
Administer medications including oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and epidural support per protocol
Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
Perform cervical exams and monitor labor progression
Manage high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies (e.g., preeclampsia, hemorrhage, fetal distress)
Initiate and manage IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions
Educate patients and families on labor process, pain management options, and postpartum care
Provide newborn stabilization and immediate care following delivery
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and ensure compliance with hospital policies

REQUIREMENT:

4-5 years experience in L&D - REQIUIRED
BLS, ACLS, NRP - REQUIRED
NY RN License
