REQUIRED :
Current CA lic,
3yrs nursing acute care exp
1yr infection prevention exp,
1yr epidemiology/public health exp
CIC Cert in Infection Control,
Bachelors in Science nursing
Preferred : travel exp, infection prevention surveillance and reporting databases exp, completion of CDPH-HAI CA dept of public health
Day in the Life of Infection Prevention Practitioner: Includes but not limited to the following; it does not account for the ongoing interventions, consultations and Crisis’s.
1. Daily monitoring of admissions, readmissions, isolation patients, MDROs, potential exposures, reportable diseases.
2. Bed Huddle
3. Safety Huddle
4. EOC rounds
5. Department rounds (just-in-time education to bedside staff)
6. Surveillance/analysis
7. Communication
8. Projects
