Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The RN will utilize the nursing process to deliver direct patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure safe and effective treatment throughout the patient’s episode of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Document patient needs, interventions, and responses accurately and timely
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care
• Identify and address patient education and discharge planning needs
• Initiate and document appropriate protocols and standards of care
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Maintain required unit-specific competencies and certifications
• Float between departments and nearby facilities (within 20 miles) as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current experience in specialty
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN)
• Active New Mexico RN License or Compact State License
• Current BLS certification (AHA, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety)
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and ability to work in fast-paced settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC EMR system (training available onsite)
