Job Description

Education: MT-BS degree from an accredited college or university required in Medical Technology. Degree must be in Medical Technology or one of the biological or chemical sciences. Laboratory training through an accredited laboratory school preferred. MLT-Associated Degree from an accredited college or university in a Laboratory Field. Degree must be in a Medical Laboratory Sciences or one of the biological or chemical sciences. Laboratory training through an accredited laboratory school preferred.

Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing. Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Requires a bachelor's degree and must be a certified medical technologist. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor.

2YRS+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting 

ACTIVE BLS (AHA)
