Weekly Pay Package: $2,382.32/week

Hourly Pay: $26.12/hr — $940.32/week
Housing Stipend: $882.00/week
Meals & Incidentals: $560.00/week

OT Rates:
- Standard OT Rate: $39.18/hr
- OT After 40 Hours: $40.00/hr

Position Overview

Trident Medical Center is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Travel RN to join their high‑volume cardiovascular team. With two procedural labs and approximately 10 cases per day, this position requires a strong background in cardiac procedures, emergency medications, and rapid decision‑making in high‑acuity environments.

Travelers are scheduled according to facility policy and are expected to work every other weekend as well as rotating holidays alongside core hospital staff.

- LHC (Left Heart Catheterization)
- PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
- TAVR
- PPM (Permanent Pacemaker)
- Impella
- IABP

Equipment & Systems

Equipment: GE X‑ray
Documentation Systems: Maclab, Meditech

Call Requirements

7–9 call days per month
Must include at least 1 weekend of call

Requirements

Experience

1+ year of experience required (Cath Lab experience mandatory)
Strong background in:
- Emergency medications
- High‑acuity cardiac patients
- Interventional cardiology procedures

Certifications

Current RN License
(ACLS required at most facilities — confirm with facility if needed)

Cons

There absolutely no communication between physicians in different specialties. The residents are not being guided properly, ordering unnecessary tests without being taught how to clinically navigate through why the given test is not suitable for the patient. The business model of HCA is outdated, you can’t count tests ordered and compare it to staff hours without looking first into if you are actually getting reimbursed properly for the rendered services but I did not get paid to consult so I digress.
