Description

Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds : 1 – 2 Heart/Vascular Rooms – 12 OR suites total

· Patient Ratios :1:1

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :RN’s, Techs, Orderlies

· Type of equipment : Standard OR equipment

· Documentation system: Meditech

· Scheduling requirements: 5 hour shifts (may be open to 10 hour shifts) On call weekdays & Weekends

· Floating policy: float to Main OR if no Vascular or Hearts

· Patient Experience requirements: Professional and polite required

Requested Skill Set: Scrub hearts and vascular

Must have: MUST BE ABLE TO SCRUB OPEN HEART CASES

Advanced skills needed: scrubbing endovascular cases a plus, not required

Procedures performed on unit: open heart, lungs and vascular

Only 1 heart surgeon working at a time – very nice –vascular surgeons are nice as well.
