Description

Job Title: CVICU Registered Nurse (Travel)

Shift / Schedule: 3 x 12-hour days (06:45 AM – 07:15 PM)
Call Requirement: Required

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients in a POD 0 Open Heart unit. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IABP and Impella devices and be able to manage complex post-operative cardiac patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct care to post-open heart surgery patients in the CVICU.
Monitor and manage patients on IABP and Impella support.
Administer medications and titrate drips as required.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Perform assessments, document care, and respond to emergencies promptly.
Participate in patient/family education and support.

Required Qualifications:

Current RN license in state of practice.
Minimum 2 years CVICU experience with POD 0 Open Heart patients.
Experience with IABP and Impella devices.
NIHSS, BLS & ACLS certifications.
Must be able to live within 100 miles of the facility.
