Position Overview

Join a high-performing Ortho Surgical Med/Surg unit (Miller 6) in a large teaching and trauma facility. This assignment is ideal for experienced Med/Surg nurses with strong orthopedic backgrounds who thrive in fast-paced academic environments.

Unit Details

• Ortho Surgical Med/Surg
• Will float to like units as needed
• Large teaching, trauma center experience required
• EPIC EMR (within past 2 years – nonnegotiable)
• Bi-weekly orientation (Mondays)

Schedule & Expectations

• Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week)
• Monday–Sunday scheduling
• Weekends required (may be more than every other weekend)
• No block scheduling
• Travelers may float as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience
• Minimum 4 years strong Med/Surg experience if this is first travel assignment
• Experience in more than one large teaching/trauma center (preferred)
• Prior travel experience preferred

Submission Requirements

⚠️ All employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained
⚠️ IVS required to offer
⚠️ Proof of COVID and Flu vaccination OR signed declinations required

Transportation & Weather Notice

• Public transportation is not accessible
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended
