CVOR Surgical Tech

Location: Albuquerque, NM
Pay: $3,168/week
Contract: (13 Weeks)
Schedule: Day Shift | 40 Hours/Week | 4x10s

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons during cardiovascular surgical procedures while maintaining a safe and sterile operating room environment.

Position Details:

• Specialty: CVOR Surgical Technologist
• Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts (40 hours per week)
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Floating may be required within departments or local locations within 20 miles

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields in the operating room
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts during procedures
• Prepare surgical instruments and supplies prior to procedures
• Position and assist patients during surgery
• Handle and label surgical specimens appropriately
• Monitor patient status during surgical procedures
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and intraoperative medications
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and departmental safety procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of current experience in a large operating room
• Current cardiovascular (CVOR) surgical experience required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program or equivalent experience
• BLS Certification

Preferred:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (NCCT)
• Experience with Orthopedic, ENT, Vascular, or Transplant procedures
