Basic Life Support

Description

Department: LDRP RN - Float*

Certifications Required: BLS (Preferred: ACLS, NRP, STABLE)

Are RNs required to titrate drips: Yes

Common titratable &/or set rate drips: pitocin, insulin, magnesium

Block scheduling: no self scheduling. we allow block scheduling -

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend-

Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday

Floating Requirements: Yes - MedSurg, ER. wherever in the hospital the nurse is needed - PERM STAFF IS USUALLY FIRST TO FLOAT-

Radius Rule: 50 miles

Charting System: MEDITECH

Shift Notes: Days+Call, Every third weekend, every other holiday, could float within skillset
