Job Summary

1. Experience Requirement

• 2+ years of current experience required.
• Experience should be recent and relevant to the unit (likely Med-Surg/Telemetry since ratio is 1:5–1:6).

2. Certifications Required

Candidate must have the following active certifications:

• BLS – Basic Life Support
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• NIH – NIH Stroke Scale Certification

3. Patient Ratio

• 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Meaning one RN will handle 5 to 6 patients per shift.

4. EMR System

• Hospital uses Meditech EMR
• Candidate should ideally have experience with Meditech charting system.

5. License Requirement

• RN must have Kentucky RN License OR
• Compact State RN License that allows working in Kentucky.

6. Orientation

• Orientation is bi-weekly
• This means new nurses only start orientation every 2 weeks.

7. Start Date

• The start date listed in the job posting is the required start date.
• Candidate must be available to start on that date.

8. Distance Rule

• RN must live more than 100 miles from the facility.
• This is required to qualify as a travel nurse.

9. Submission Requirement

• Assignment confirmation must be uploaded within 24 hours after the candidate accepts the offer.
