Job Opportunity: Pharmacist Inpatient (Travel/Contract)

Location: Mooresville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Seeking a Pharmacist with recent inpatient experience to join a healthcare team on a travel/contract basis. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience
• Pharmacist experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Experience with Epic system

Orientation & Scheduling

• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly
• Local candidates within 75 miles considered at a slightly reduced rate
• Local candidates are accepted

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Candidates must provide and maintain up-to-date documentation including but not limited to:

• Background checks (within 90 days) covering all counties lived/worked in past 7 years
• Drug testing (negative 10-panel within 30 days of start)
• Physical exam (within 12 months)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Flu vaccine (mandatory)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 12 months)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccinations or positive titers (no exemptions)
  • Hepatitis B status (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Polio vaccine or attestation
• Professional references: 2 required from employment within last 12 months (at least 1 supervisor)
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
• Completion of required online modules prior to orientation
• Setup of a facility-specific guest account prior to clearance

Additional Notes

• Candidates must have no pending background checks at start
• Candidates with less than a 30-day gap between previous assignments may have some documentation accepted on file
• Competency exams and pass/fail testing may be required during orientation
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training provided onsite if applicable
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific onboarding and competency requirements

This position is ideal for experienced inpatient pharmacists licensed in North Carolina who are ready for a travel contract with a reputable healthcare system.
