Location: Birmingham, AL 35209
Unit: Main OR
Shift: 4x10s (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Weekly Pay Package: $2,143.20/week

📌 Weekly Compensation Breakdown

  • Hourly Pay: $17.53/hr — $701.20 per week
  • Housing Stipend: $882.00/week
  • Meals & Incidentals: $560.00/week
  • Total Weekly Gross: $2,143.20/week
  • OT Rates:
    • Standard OT Rate: $26.30/hr
    • OT After 40 Hours: $40.00/hr

Position Overview

This facility in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (Neuro/Spine Specialty) for a 4x10 day-shift schedule. The ideal traveler will have strong experience circulating or scrubbing in Neuro and Spine procedures and be comfortable working in a high‑acuity surgical environment.

This role requires flexibility with call, collaboration with multidisciplinary surgical teams, and the ability to provide safe, efficient patient care in the main OR.

  • Specialty: Neuro / Spine OR
  • Beds/Rooms: 24 OR suites
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Equipment: Standard OR surgical equipment

Shift & Scheduling

  • Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Structure: 4x10 hour shifts
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Weekends: No weekend shift requirement
  • Call: Required — frequency based on assigned surgical team (confirmed during interview)
  • Float: May float within a 25‑mile radius of the home campus

Requirements

Experience

  • 2+ years of OR experience
  • Required: Neuro/Spine OR background
  • Preferred:
    • DaVinci Robot
    • Maxillofacial
    • Orthopedic surgeries

Certifications

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)

Patient Population

  • Surgical patients requiring Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and general OR procedures
