weekend status day position. Can be 36 or 48 hours. 12-hour 7a-7p. Would consider Friday 7p-11p/Saturday 7a-11a/Sunday 7a-11p rotation.
MUST Have: Min 2 years recent respiratory therapy experience Must have level 1 trauma and ICU experience Strong background in working with ER patients RRT - NBRC certification BLS - AHA Experience working in a facility with 300+ beds Able to work in a very fast paced environment ND state license, or willing to apply for it within 72 hours of acceptance of offer General job duties. Types of procedures required. Job Description Summary: The scope of work for a Respiratory Therapist includes assessment, therapeutic intervention and education for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or associated complications. Job Description: Respiratory therapists assess individuals to prevent, detect, monitor and manage disease and complications. Respiratory therapists provide therapeutic interventions to directly impact cardiopulmonary health as well as overall health status according to established goals and interdisciplinary care plans. Respiratory therapists provide education to promote preventative care, self management, enhanced cardiopulmonary health and quality of life. Performs regular assessments of patients and the equipment they are using in order to adjust therapy. Collect and/or analyzes patients' blood and other specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases. Measures the patient's lung capacity to determine if there are any impairments. Offers diagnosis results and treatment suggestions based on the analysis of the patient. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Epic computerized charting, Acudose medication cabinet, Hamilton G5 & C1, V60, Airvo, CoughAssist, Vest, IPV AutoPAP, Radiometer ABL90, Aerogen, Trilogy/Astrel, Nitric Oxide, HFOV, Bunnell HFJV, Infant Flow SiPAP, Radiometer TCM. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Two years of minimum experience. We would be interested in an RT that could work in a number of areas or specialized in NICU, PICU or adult ICU. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. ND license. BLS - AHA required. ACLS - AHA and PALS - AHA preferred Shift or schedule requirements. Rotating shifts, every other weekend, holidays with 8 & 12 hour shifts. Opportunity to pick up extra shifts. Floating to other units/departments. Inpatient respiratory therapy care. May float to other locations in Fargo as needed: Broadway, South University. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. RT creates assignments with a minute based system that pulls from our Epic program. 350+ at SMCF campus, 40 bed IV NICU, 8 bed Peds ICU, 24 beds Peds, 36 beds Adult ICU, 28 beds intermediate Adult ICU, 110 beds adult GF, 47 beds ER. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Orientees complete lab orientation with RT education staff and preceptor shifts with the unit RTs Additional Comments: Looking for a motivated individual who is able to work independently as well as within a team. Ability to handle quick changes in patient condition, willing to help coworkers and ask for help when needed.
