Description

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Must be able to manage high-acuity patients

Patient Ratio

  • 1–2:1

Unit Details

  • Unit Size: 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue and/or White

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring – Class must be taken and passed

Preferred Certifications

  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) Certification

Education Requirement

  • Degree accreditation must be listed on the candidate profile,
    OR the candidate must have 5 years of experience.

Call Requirement

  • 12 hours of call required within a 6-week scheduling period

Floating Requirements

  • Floating is required
  • Travelers are first to float and may be required to float to sister campuses

Radius Rule

  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from GCMC permanent address

Facility Culture

  • The unit places strong importance on culture and teamwork
  • Travelers are welcomed into the unit and expected to function as core staff members.
