Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a travel contract. This role requires a highly skilled OR nurse with extensive Level I trauma experience and the ability to independently handle complex surgical procedures including transplant, cardiac, and vascular cases in a large hospital setting.

The OR RN will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient surgical care for patients undergoing advanced procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Operating Room
• Assist surgical teams during complex procedures including transplant, cardiac, and vascular surgeries
• Prepare surgical suites and maintain sterile technique
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards
• Document care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Minimum 5+ years of Operating Room experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Experience in a large hospital setting
• Ability to independently circulate complex surgical cases
• Strong experience in transplant, cardiac, and vascular procedures
