Job Title: MICU/CCU Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Shift & Schedule:
7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3 x 12-hour shifts
Every Other Weekend Required
Holidays required as needed based on unit needs
No On-Call Requirement
Float required to similar ICU units

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced MICU/CCU Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity critical care to patients in a fast-paced intensive care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex critical care cases and working with advanced life-support equipment. The nurse will collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care while managing critically ill patients with complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to critically ill patients in the MICU/CCU setting.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
• Administer and titrate complex vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics.
• Perform patient assessments and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and Swan-Ganz catheters.
• Collect arterial blood gas (ABG) samples and perform phlebotomy when required.
• Assist with CRRT therapy and advanced cardiac support devices when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience
• Experience with complex critical care (CCRN-level care) and high-acuity patients
• Strong knowledge of mechanical ventilation management
• Experience with vasopressors, sedation, and spontaneous breathing trials

Required Clinical Skills:

• Arterial line management
• Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring
• Central line management
• Strong peripheral IV access skills
• Chest tube care
• Bladder management / straight catheterization
• ABG collection and phlebotomy

Preferred Skills:

• CRRT experience (NextStage preferred)
• Intra-aortic balloon pump experience
• Impella device experience
• CCRN certification highly preferred
