Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET) – Los Angeles, CA – 13 Week Contract
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: March 23, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Shift: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: Outpatient PET/CT Imaging
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET) for a 13-week travel assignment in Los Angeles, CA. This role focuses on PET imaging across oncology, cardiology, neurology, infection/inflammation, and research studies. The technologist will also perform diagnostic CT exams with and without contrast for patients receiving PET imaging.
You will work within a collaborative imaging team including technologists, physicians, nurses, and support staff in a primarily outpatient environment.
Patient Volume:
Approximately 4–6 patients per shift.
Equipment & Systems:
- Siemens Biograph 64 Scanner
- NMIS software (transitioning to NucTrac)
Responsibilities:
- Perform PET and CT imaging procedures
- Start IV access and administer radiopharmaceuticals and CT contrast
- Maintain radiation safety standards and documentation
- Order doses and assist with minimal scheduling tasks
- Follow ALARA radiation safety principles
Required Qualifications
Option 1:
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
- California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT)
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT)
Option 2:
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program
- California Radiologic Technologist License
- ARRT (R)
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT)
- NMTCB (PET)
Skills:
- PET imaging
