Description
Role Overview:
The Mobile X-Ray Technologist is responsible for providing portable diagnostic imaging services to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other off-site locations. This role involves operating portable radiography equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic X-rays and EKGs (if required), ensuring accurate imaging and timely transmission for physician interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform and process diagnostic X-ray exams using portable Digital Radiography (DR) or Computed Radiography (CR) equipment.
• Transport and unload portable X-ray equipment into nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other service locations.
• Obtain clinically accurate and technically high-quality diagnostic images as ordered by the physician.
• Transmit completed X-ray images to the Radiologist for interpretation in a timely manner.
• Perform EKG exams when required and transmit results to a Cardiologist for review.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and safety while maintaining radiation protection standards.
• Complete and scan exam-related documentation and billing paperwork according to company protocols.
• Maintain consistent communication with dispatch and management regarding schedules and exam completion.
• Provide professional and courteous interaction with patients, facility staff, and healthcare teams.
• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of the company vehicle and portable imaging equipment.
• Follow all safety, compliance, and operational protocols related to mobile imaging services.
