Position Details

Unit Description

• High volume, fast-paced environment.
• 64 Bed Emergency Department with hallway utilization and 75 bays, including holds and pediatrics.
• Average of 150-190 visits daily.
• Patient care includes critically ill patients, behavioral health patients, and hold patients.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4:1 to 5:1.
• Charting System: Cerner.

Experience and Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the ER as an RN within the last 6 months; preferred 3+ years.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Sunday to Saturday.
• Holidays: Every other holiday.
• Request Time Off (RTO): No more than 3 days.
• License: NJ or compact license required.
• Certifications:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • PALS
  • TNCC (AHA only)

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to float within specialty or ED Observation Unit.

Orientation and First Day Instructions

• Workers will receive three emails from Inspira prior to their start date:

  1. Virtual Orientation: Teams link for a virtual orientation day with modules.
  2. Education Scheduling: Mandatory attendance for orientation classes from Tuesday to Thursday.
  3. HR Email: Scheduling an ID badge appointment and reviewing policies/procedures.

• Important Note: Workers must be available for the full 7 days of their first week for orientation. No special scheduling is permitted; failure to attend will result in the offer being rescinded.

Additional Information

• Background checks, drug screens, and various health screenings are required.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination and other health mandates is necessary.
