Role Overview:
The ICU Registered Nurse provides high-quality critical care to patients in a fast-paced intensive care environment. The RN will assess, monitor, and treat critically ill patients while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. This role requires strong clinical judgment, autonomy, and the ability to manage complex patient conditions.

Unit Details:
• Small 6-bed ICU
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 – 1:2
• Intensivist support available via Tele-ICU consultation
• Nurses may occasionally serve as relief charge nurse

Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and provide critical care nursing interventions
• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and response to treatments
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced life-support interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety protocols
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations

Scheduling Requirements:
• Night shift – 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement

Floating Policy:
• Nurses may float within scope to Medical Cardiology or Med/Surg units if needed.

Experience Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (outside of orientation)
• First-time travelers accepted

Certifications Required:
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIH Stroke Certification

Additional Requirements:
• Active state license required at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Locals not accepted within 75-mile radius
• RTO limit: Maximum 7 days within a 13-week contract

Guaranteed Hours:
• 36 hours per week
