Job Title: Remote RN – Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI)
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Standard hours | No Weekend Requirement | No On-Call
Meal Break: 30 Minutes

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience to support accurate and complete clinical documentation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with physicians, coders, and healthcare teams to ensure documentation reflects the severity of illness and quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify documentation when needed.
• Utilize Epic EMR and 3M 360 CAC to support CDI processes.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, coders, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure documentation supports appropriate coding, quality metrics, and reimbursement.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois (IL) RN License
• Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience required
• Experience using Epic EMR and 3M 360 CAC
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification preferred
• CDIP certification is a plus (not required)
• Experience working in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) preferred
