Level 3 Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN – ER)

Position: Level 3 Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Start Date: March 30, 2026
End Date: July 4, 2026
Shift: Nights | 12-hour shifts
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years ER experience

Position Summary

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive emergency healthcare services to patients of all ages, ranging from minor injuries to severe trauma and critical conditions. The RN is responsible for rapid patient assessment, prioritizing care, and delivering life-saving interventions in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ clinical conditions and recognize life-threatening emergencies.
  • Prioritize patient care and initiate immediate treatment when necessary.
  • Provide emergency care to patients with medical, surgical, or traumatic conditions.
  • Initiate emergency measures when a physician is not immediately available.
  • Operate and monitor specialized emergency equipment including:
    • Infusion pumps
    • Pulse oximeters
    • Ventilators
    • Cardiac monitors
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and other physician-prescribed treatments.
  • Provide respiratory support and assist with mechanical ventilation when required.
  • Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, and nursing interventions.
  • Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare assignments for nursing team members based on patient care needs.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and ensure proper functioning of medical equipment.
  • Support a safe and organized clinical environment.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience.

Licensure

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or Compact RN License.

Required Certifications

  • BLS – Basic Life Support
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course

Certifications are issued by organizations such as the American Heart Association.
