Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Echo Technician to perform diagnostic echocardiographic procedures to evaluate cardiac structure and function. The Echo Tech will work closely with cardiologists and healthcare staff to obtain high-quality ultrasound images of the heart, ensure patient comfort, and assist in accurate diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE), Doppler studies, and stress echocardiography as prescribed by physicians.
• Prepare patients for echocardiography procedures by explaining the process and ensuring proper positioning.
• Operate echocardiography ultrasound equipment to obtain clear and accurate cardiac images.
• Measure and analyze cardiac structures, heart chambers, valves, and blood flow patterns.
• Record and document diagnostic images and patient data for physician review.
• Assist cardiologists during advanced echocardiographic procedures when required.
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and report abnormalities immediately.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports in the hospital information system.
• Follow infection control, safety standards, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality checks.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / bachelor’s degree in Cardiac Technology, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Certification in echocardiography (preferred but not mandatory depending on organization).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an advantage.

Experience

• 0–2 years: Fresher or junior echo technician may apply.
• 2+ years: Experience performing independent echocardiography procedures preferred.

• Good communication and patient handling skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in imaging and reporting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
