Title: Travel Telemetry RN – Float Pool | 12H Rotating Days/Nights | Level 1 Trauma Hospital

Location: Massachusetts
Shift: 12-Hour Rotating (Days/Nights)
Schedule: 36 hours per week (72 hours biweekly)
Start Dates: Weekly starts (Mondays)

Job Summary

A leading Level 1 Trauma hospital is seeking experienced Telemetry Registered Nurses for a Float Pool travel assignment. Nurses in this role will provide care across multiple units and must be comfortable floating to various departments while delivering high-quality patient care.

This position requires strong telemetry interpretation skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently (no monitor techs available)
  • Provide patient care in telemetry and medical units
  • Float to various units including ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units
  • Deliver patient-centered care while maintaining accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care

Schedule & Float Requirements

  • 12-hour rotating shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Schedule rotates between days and nights every 4 weeks
  • Every other weekend required
    • Days: Saturday & Sunday
    • Nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Floating may occur in 4-hour blocks during shifts

Patient Ratios

  • 1:3 – 1:5

Minimum Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • BLS (AHA) required
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Ability to interpret telemetry strips independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS certification
  • Level 1 trauma hospital experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience

Additional Information

  • Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
  • Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
  • Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) for at least 6 months
  • Day-one pass/fail competency testing will be required
