Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Perform circulating duties in the Operating Room, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and patient safety standards.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals during procedures.
  • Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies prior to procedures.
  • Monitor and document patient condition throughout surgical procedures using Cerner Surginet EMR.
  • Assist with positioning and preparing patients for surgery while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Respond to emergency situations and follow established protocols.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Float between Main OR and OPSC as needed to support surgical operations.
  • Ensure proper handling and documentation of surgical equipment and supplies.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Active RN License
  • Minimum 2 years of Acute Care Operating Room experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience in Orthopedic and Bariatric surgical cases
  • Must be able to circulate in the OR
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative standards and sterile technique
  • Experience with Cerner Surginet EMR preferred
  • Radiation badge required
