Description
Travel RN – Telemetry / PCU | Nights | 48hrs
We are seeking an experienced Telemetry RN with PCU experience to join a 32-bed cardiac-focused Med/Tele unit caring for adult and geriatric patients.
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 48 hours/week
Ratios: 1:4–5 (PCU overflow 1:3)
Requirements
• BLS & ACLS required
• PCU experience required
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Epic experience preferred
• First-time travelers welcome
Patient Population
• Cardiac cath & EP study patients
• Pacemakers
• Pneumonia / COVID / influenza
• Sepsis
• Acute on chronic cardiac conditions
• ETOH withdrawal
Drips
Must be comfortable titrating:
• Amiodarone
• Cardizem
• Heparin
• Nitroglycerin
• Nipride
• Lasix
• Low-dose Dopamine
Unit Details
• 32-bed cardiac-focused Med/Tele unit
• Telemetry monitors with tele tech support
• Bipap, trachs, Airvo support
• CNA support (goal ratio 1:10)
Schedule
• 12-hour shifts (7p–7a)
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
Floating
Travelers may float to:
• PCU
• Med Surg
• ER holds
Orientation
2 shifts with preceptor
Additional Requirements
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
