Job Title: Travel Cardiac Sonographer (Echo)
Location: Morristown, NJ
Department: Non-Invasive Services
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM | 40 Hours per Week

Compensation

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,761
• Weekly Stipend: $1,561
• W2 Hourly Rate: $30/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations while ensuring comfort and explaining procedures clearly.
• Perform Adult Echocardiography studies according to ASE & IAC guidelines.
• Set up and operate ultrasound equipment efficiently for timely procedures.
• Review prior imaging, reports, and patient charts before performing exams.
• Ensure imaging studies are complete and technically accurate before physician interpretation.
• Perform valvular assessments using spectral Doppler and Pedoff probe techniques.
• Conduct contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies as required.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond quickly to critical findings.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of examinations performed.
• Manage inventory and supplies for the assigned imaging area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experienced Cardiac Sonographer with strong inpatient echocardiography background.
• Minimum 200 documented inpatient echocardiography cases.
• Proficiency in valvular assessment, spectral Doppler, and Pedoff probe use.
• Experience with contrast echo and agitated saline studies.
• Ability to work independently and recognize abnormal findings quickly.
• Must be comfortable scanning TAVR and MitraClip procedures and have worked at a facility performing these procedures.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or GED

Certifications

• ARDMS or CCI – Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• BLS (AHA)
• Documentation of 200+ inpatient echocardiography cases
