Description
OB/postpartum BLS, ACLS, AWHONN fetal monitoring (intermediate or advanced), NRP required -- MA license and BILH coversheet required at time of submission.
12H days, 7p-7:30a - rotating weekends and holidays
L&D and PP EXPERIENCE REQUIRED-
UNIT DESCRIPTION: The Birthplace is a 12-bed, private room, labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum unit that includes a nursery staffed by obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians, neonatologists and registered nurses.
The Unit also has a 2 bed triage and 6 bed postpartum area.
Registered nurses are required to demonstrate competent care of the patient in labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn advanced fetal monitoring, breastfeeding education, neonatal resuscitation certification, advanced life support certification, and the OR scrub and circulating roles.
Minimum Requirements: Current Massachusetts RN license Labor and Delivery experience required Mother/Baby experience required AHABLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire NRP required Evidence of recent EFM continuing education, or within 3 months of hire Recommended
Requirements: OR Circulating & Scrub experience preferred Experience working in continuing care/special care nursery/NICU environment preferred
