Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Location: St. Joseph’s Hospital

We are seeking experienced Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) to join the Operating Room team in Savannah, Georgia. This is a 13-week travel assignment with an opportunity to work in a fast-paced surgical environment supporting a variety of procedures. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled surgical technologist with strong sterile technique, teamwork, and operating room experience.

This role requires collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Assignment Details:

• Department: Operating Room
• Openings: 2 positions
• Shift Options:
  • (1) 8-Hour Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • (1) 10-Hour Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call: 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend per 5-week schedule
• Start Date: ASAP
• Facility Policy: 100-mile radius rule – no local candidates

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies
• Maintain proper sterile techniques and infection control standards
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and available for procedures

Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Orthopedic and/or Neurosurgery cases
• Travel experience preferred but not required
