Description
MICU RN - Omaha, NE- 13 week travel contract
Nebraska’s top-rated hospital, is seeking skilled MICU Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team. This is your opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art, high-volume critical care environment where your expertise can truly impact patient outcomes. Whether you're experienced in managing complex cases like respiratory failure, septic shock, or kidney failure, or eager to advance your critical care skills, we want to hear from you!
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience at a large, urban hospital.
- Proficient in EPIC charting and managing drips on all floors.
- BLS, ACLS & NIHSS
- Flexibility to float within the scope of various units, including the MICU and potentially within other specialized floors.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30).
- Valid RN license; pending licenses accepted if in hand within 6 weeks of booking.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in a teaching hospital or Level I Academic Medical Center.
- Prior experience with complex medical cases such as liver failure or overdoses.
- Strong teamwork skills, including collaboration with care techs, paramedics, and transport teams.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- At least 2 years of recent critical care experience in a large, urban hospital.
- Epic charting experience.
Other Requirements:
- Must be willing to work 4 weekend shifts out of 8, including holidays.
- Candidates must be more than 100 miles from facility; local candidates are not accepted.
- RTO requests of up to two weeks are permitted; RTO must be submitted with application.
- First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 2 years of ICU experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center.
- Must work two of three major holidays.
- Mandatory scrubs: Steele gray with Nebraska Medicine logo.
- Parking permit or daily rate available.
