Description

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor.
Assist with inductions, C-sections, and delivery procedures.
Provide newborn care immediately after delivery.
Prepare delivery rooms and ensure required equipment and supplies are available.
Administer IV medications and treatments as ordered.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
Provide patient education and emotional support to mothers and families.
Follow infection control policies and sterile techniques.
Coordinate patient transfers when necessary.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited RN program
Active Colorado RN License
CPR/BLS Certification – Required
Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification – Required within 1 year
ACLS Certification – Required within 1 year

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery experience
Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn care practices

Skills:

Ability to perform effectively in high-stress clinical environments
Knowledge of labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
