Travel Tech: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Facility: Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital (NNRH) Location: Elko, NV Shift: 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM Assignment Type: Travel Discipline: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Travel Requirement: Must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel stipends

Role Overview
The Medical Laboratory Technician performs routine and complex diagnostic testing to support patient care during overnight operations. This role requires strong technical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a hospital laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and blood bank
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers
- Process and analyze patient specimens following established protocols
- Ensure accuracy of test results through quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Document results and maintain records in compliance with regulatory and facility standards
- Communicate critical values to clinical staff and support patient care decisions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment
Qualifications
- Active MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Completion of an accredited MLT program
- Minimum of one year of recent hospital laboratory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and safety standards
- Current BLS certification
