Travel Surgical Tech – Ambulatory Surgery Center
Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days per week (38 hours/week)
 

Two shifts must allow for staying late when needed, and one scheduled shift must be on Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare and maintain and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical operations.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures.
• Follow instructions from Physicians and Registered Nurses while adhering to operating room policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with hospital safety standards, regulatory requirements, and infection control protocols.
• Practice Standard Precautions and ensure a safe surgical environment at all times.
• Monitor sterile technique and ensure quality patient care throughout operative procedures.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during surgical procedures
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques

Compensation

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,169
• Weekly Stipend: $1,561
• W2 Hourly Rate: $16/hr
• Hours: 38 hours per week
