Assignment Details
• Length: 8 weeks
• Unit: IMCU / Progressive Care
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Floating: Required
• Scrubs: Navy Blue
• EMR: EPIC
Unit Overview
• 64-bed IMCU with 15 designated Neuro beds
• Adult patient population (18+)
• Stepdown level acuity
Common Diagnoses / Patient Types
• Neuro patients
• Cardiac and CV stepdown
• Trauma
• Respiratory conditions (COPD)
• DKA
• Sepsis
• MI
• Post-operative patients
Equipment / Skills Needed
• Temporary pacers
• Chest tubes
• Arterial lines
• BiPAP
• Neptune Vapo system
• Chronic ventilator patients (RT assists with vent management)
Requirements
• 2+ years IMCU / PCU experience
• Previous travel experience required
• Active New York RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• EPIC experience required
Submission Requirements
• Skills checklist matching specialty
• Driver’s license with matching address
• NURSYS report verifying all RN licenses
• RTO must be included at submission
