Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and collect diagnostic respiratory testing including pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, and blood gas analysis.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments using physical examinations and diagnostic data.
Administer respiratory therapeutic treatments including medical gas therapy, humidity therapy, and aerosol therapy.
Manage artificial airways including insertion, monitoring, and ongoing care.
Provide and monitor invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
Perform airway clearance therapies and monitor patient response to treatment.
Document patient care activities and communicate results with the healthcare team.
Participate in discharge planning and case management for respiratory patients.
Support community and patient education programs focused on cardiopulmonary wellness.
Attend mandatory safety trainings, department meetings, and continuing education sessions.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (college or technical school).
Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required.

Licensure & Certifications:

Active Respiratory Therapist License – State of Colorado
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
