MRI Tech – Travel Contract
Pay: $3,166/week
Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: March 30, 2026
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Shift:
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Tuesday through Friday
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging results. The technologist will prepare and position patients, operate MRI equipment, and maintain imaging records while following established clinical and safety standards.
Floating between departments or locations within 20 miles may be required.
Job Responsibilities
• Instruct patients regarding MRI procedures
• Prepare and position patients for imaging
• Select appropriate imaging techniques
• Calibrate console and peripheral MRI equipment
• Acquire diagnostic images and maintain imaging records
• Inspect images for quality and completeness
• Perform quality assurance on MRI equipment and laser camera
• Maintain imaging backups and workstation data transfers
• Monitor equipment functionality and report issues
• Maintain clinical supplies and perform inventory checks
• Follow safety standards, HIPAA regulations, and departmental policies
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 2 years MRI Technologist experience
• At least one previous 13-week travel assignment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred:
• Experience with EPIC EMR (training available)
Education
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
Associate’s Degree
Certifications & Licensure
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT Certification
• New Mexico MRI State Licensure
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
