Job Summary

A community-focused facility in the heart of the Rockies, is seeking a high-level CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist. This role is specifically designed for a tech who excels in the high-stakes environment of cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. You will work within a specialized CVOR team and a high-tech Hybrid Cath Lab, providing expert scrub support for life-saving cardiovascular interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Cardiovascular Scrub Expertise: Lead the sterile field for complex procedures including open-heart surgeries, vascular bypasses, and valve repairs.
• Hybrid Cath Lab Operations: Assist in advanced endovascular procedures (such as EVAR/TEVAR) that combine traditional surgery with interventional radiology.
• Instrumentation Management: Expertly handle specialized cardiac instrumentation, fine vascular sutures, and micro-surgical tools required for delicate vessel repair.
• Sterile Processing & Setup: Anticipate the surgeon’s needs during rapid-fire cardiovascular cases, ensuring all implants (stents, grafts, valves) are ready and sterile.
• Emergency Response: Maintain readiness for emergency "pump" cases or vascular ruptures, participating in a rotating call schedule to support the 24/7 cardiac program.
• Documentation: Utilize Meditech EMR for surgical supply tracking and case documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Tech, with specific, verifiable CVOR experience.
• Colorado State Licensure (Hard Stop): Must have an active Colorado Surgical Tech License (DORA). Candidates without a DORA registration in-hand will not be considered.
• National Certification: Must be a Graduate of an accredited program with certification from NBSTSA, AST, or NCCT.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA Only) is required.
• Travel Requirements: Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from Glenwood Springs.

• Bed Size: 50–149 beds.
• Specialty Team: You will be part of a dedicated CVOR/Hybrid team.
• Call Requirement: Rotating call schedule is mandatory for this role.
