DEXA Technician – Travel Contract
Pay: $2,886/week
Location: Battle Creek, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Shift:
Day Shift – 5x8 hours
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Monday – Friday
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced DEXA Technician to perform bone density testing and assist with imaging procedures in an outpatient setting. The technologist will prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure accurate diagnostic results while maintaining patient safety and compliance with clinical standards.
During downtime, the technologist may assist with mammography screenings and 3D imaging scans.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform DEXA bone density imaging procedures
• Prepare and position patients for imaging exams
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure proper calibration
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Open and close the imaging unit daily
• Prepare paperwork related to imaging exams
• Assist with mammography screenings when needed
• Ensure quality imaging and compliance with safety standards
• Follow HIPAA regulations and departmental policies
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 1 year experience as a DEXA Technician
• Experience performing bone density testing
• Ability to work in an outpatient imaging environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred:
• Experience with EPIC and McKesson documentation systems
Education
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Certifications & Licensure
• ARRT (Mammography) Certification
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Valid state licensure if required
