Job Overview

A healthcare facility in Templeton is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join the Operating Room (OR) team for a travel assignment. The RNFA will assist surgeons during operative procedures and provide perioperative patient care across multiple surgical specialties.

Schedule

• Shift: Day Shift
• Hours: 4x10-hour shifts
• Time: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Call Requirement:
  • 1 night of call per week
  • 1 weekend per month

Key Responsibilities

• Function as Registered Nurse First Assistant during surgical procedures
• Provide perioperative patient care in the Operating Room
• Assist surgeons during procedures including orthopedic, orthopedic totals, gynecology, and general surgery cases
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with surgical instrumentation
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and collaborate with the surgical team
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in the submitted specialty
• Must have worked in the OR specialty within the last 3 months
• RNFA certification required
• Active California RN license

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) – Required
• Professional Liability Insurance – Required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Preferred
