Cardiac Catheterization Lab RN – Job Summary Breakdown

Role Overview

• Registered Nurse working in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
• Part of the patient care team, ensuring smooth coordination and continuity of care
• Focus on patient and family-centered care

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiac procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other care team members
• Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain strong communication with patients, families, and hospital staff
• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety

Experience Requirements

• 2+ years ICU experience (preferred)
• 1+ year Cath Lab RN experience
• Travel experience preferred but not required

Schedule Options

• 3 × 12-hour shifts OR
• 4 × 10-hour shifts

Call Requirements

• Possible weeknight, weekend, and holiday call
• No scheduled weekend or holiday shifts
• During a 13-week contract, expect approximately:
  • 1–2 weeknight call shifts total
  • Possibly 1 weekend call (not guaranteed)

Contract Length

• 13-week travel assignment
