🕒 Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
📅 Schedule: 36 hours/week

🌟 Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Resource Team to provide high-quality nursing care across multiple MedSurg and Telemetry units. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

This role requires flexibility to float across all Med Surg/Telemetry units and deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

👩‍⚕️ Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and nursing diagnoses
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Monitor patient progress and evaluate outcomes
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and healthcare teams
• Provide patient and family education
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy and drips
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Delegate appropriate tasks to nursing support staff
• Promote safe, ethical, and culturally competent nursing care
• Participate in quality improvement and shared governance initiatives

🩺 Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

You will care for a variety of adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including:

• Acute and chronic medical conditions
• Diabetes and hypertension
• Infections and electrolyte imbalances
• Cardiac conditions (CHF, A-fib, post-cardiac cath)
• Post-operative patients (general surgery, orthopedic, trauma)

📊 Patient Ratios

• RN: 1:4 – 1:6
• LPN: 1:4 – 1:6
• CNA: up to 1:14

🧠 Required Skills

• Cardiac rhythm monitoring & interpretation
• Post-cath care and TR band management
• Trach care and chest tube management
• Peripheral IV insertion and IV maintenance
• Care coordination and discharge planning
• Patient education
• Strong clinical assessment and time-management skills

Drips Experience Required:

• Insulin
• Heparin
• Cardizem
• Amiodarone
• Milrinone
• Digoxin
• Nicardipine

(HR titration allowed; BP titration not required)

📚 Minimum Qualifications

✔ Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
✔ Active RN License (Georgia or Alabama Licensing Board)
✔ BLS Certification – Required
✔ ACLS – Preferred
✔ Minimum 2 years of MedSurg / Telemetry RN experience

🎓 Preferred Qualifications

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
• Med-Surg certification
• Experience in large acute-care hospitals

🔄 Scheduling & Additional Requirements

• Weekend Rotation: 6 shifts every 6 weeks
• Holiday Requirement: 75% of holidays
• Floating: All Med Surg / Telemetry units
• On-Call: None
• Clinical Interview: Required (Manager approval to offer)
